Human Rights Day Art Event

To mark Human Rights Day, in collaboration with D6 Culture team, we curated a special evening of art, poetry, performances and a panel conversation with extraordinary artists whose work offered us space to connect, reflect and engage with creative activism.

Artists Amak Mahmoodian and Paria Goodarzi presented a brand new performance commissioned for this event. lisa minerva luxx, a writer and political activist, shared her powerful poetry and Lucy Nychai, artist and curator from Ukraine guided us through different projects and her curatorial approach to the new online exhibition, (Re)Grounding – bringing together the work of artists seeking answers to environmental challenges rooted in the industrial and colonial pasts of Cyprus, the UK and Ukraine. Featuring work by Volt Agapeyev, Alexandra Clod, Dariia Dantseva, Dasha Podoltseva, Marisa Satsia, Oleksandr (Alex) Sirous and Karolina Uskakovych.
