2- About the Art Interview by Horniman Museum.
“There are clear points of crossover between art and policy. Dima’s curated conversations and focused approach on what we share, the local places we inhabit, and the wider meaning of geography all created space for local people and council team members to participate in the creative mapping of the borough and the policy-making process in a new way.” Paul Aladenika, Head of Policy and Strategy, Lewisham Council.
3- Learning Lab Led by Counterpoints Arts
A walk-through and critical reflection on Dima Karout’s work during the London Borough of Culture in Lewisham: Conversation with Arts Curator and Creative Director, Dima Karout; Paul Aladenika, Head of Policy and Strategy, Lewisham Council; and written contribution by Fergus Downie, Specialist Housing Support and Refugee Resettlement Manager, Lewisham Council. Moderator: Áine O’Brien, Curator of Learning and Research and Co-Founder, Counterpoints. You can read reporting by Dana Olarescu here: Learning Lab Notes
4- Art and Policy: Research Residency, Art Book and Exhibition. Article by We Are Lewisham.
“In a world constantly shifting balance, it is important that we ground ourselves within a vision of solidarity and inclusion. In my Creative Investigation into Lewisham’s meaningful places and how they inspire and shape its people, I wanted to bring locals together to talk about the place we all share rather than the diversity of our differences.” Dima Karout, Project Lead
5- Feedback and Final Report
We’ve collected a final report combining reflections and feedbacks form partners, council employees and participants; and highlighting a summary of project outcomes.
